Persija Jakarta came from behind to beat Persik Kediri 2-1 in Week 7 of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League on Monday, 26 October 2026, at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). The three points keep Persija top of the table.
Persik struck first. Imanol Garcia headed in an Ernesto Gomez corner in the 10th minute, and the visitors held their 0-1 lead until half-time. Persik had arrived on the back of a 2-1 win over PSS Sleman on Thursday, 22 October, after a 0-1 defeat to Persib Bandung.
Two goals in two minutes
Coach Shin Tae-yong sent on Rizky Ridho and Kwon Chang-hoon after the break. Denis Kolinger equalised in the 64th minute, heading in a Rayhan Hannan free kick.
Two minutes later Persija were ahead. Kolinger set up Rizky Ridho, who finished first time in the 66th minute. The assistant referee raised his flag, but a VAR review allowed the goal because Ridho was onside.
There was one more twist. In the 90+6th minute, Ivan Mamut finished a quick move from a long Nadeo Argawinata ball chased down by Kwon Chang-hoon. VAR ruled the goal out for an earlier foul on Persik forward Jose Enrique near the Persija penalty area. Persik got a free kick from it, but could not find an equaliser.
The win takes Persija to 18 points from seven games, four clear of second-placed Dewa United.
