The MPL ID Season 18 playoffs will be held at the Jatim International Expo (JIE) Convention in Surabaya from 4 to 8 November 2026. The opening match on 4 November pits Alter Ego Esports against Onic.
Six teams qualified from the regular season, which ran from 14 August to 18 October 2026 at the XO Hall-MPL Arena in West Jakarta. Team Liquid ID finished top of the standings after beating Onic in the final week. Navi took second place with 12 wins and four defeats.
Below the two of them are Alter Ego Esports, Bigetron by Vitality, Evos and Onic. Dewa United Esports, RRQ Hoshi and Geek Fam failed to qualify.
RRQ miss out for third season running
For RRQ Hoshi, this is their third consecutive season without a playoff spot after Season 16 and Season 17, according to Gizmologi. That was confirmed after a 2-1 defeat to Onic in the Royal Derby on Sunday, 11 October 2026.
Teams ranked third to sixth play first in a single-elimination format. Alter Ego Esports meet Onic, while Bigetron by Vitality face Evos. The side that loses is eliminated.
The winner of the first match waits for Navi in the upper bracket semi-final, while the winner of the second match challenges Team Liquid ID. From that stage onwards, double elimination applies, so a team that loses in the upper bracket drops into the lower bracket and still has one life left. The playoffs are played best of 5, and the grand final is best of 7.
All matches will be played on site in Surabaya and broadcast live on the MPL Indonesia YouTube channel.
